Ukraine received a humiliating beating from NATO
Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak was not allowed to attend the summit of NATO defense leaders, which is taking place in Brussels these days.
This was announced by the deputy head of the Ukrainian mission to NATO, Sergei Mukosiy, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to European Pravda.
It is noted that the request received from Poltorak himself was blocked by Hungary.
“The Minister of Defense addressed a letter to the NATO Secretary General,” Mukosiy said and emphasized that the response from the NATO Secretary General included an explanation of why Poltorak was not expected and hinted that it was Ukraine’s western neighbor who opposed it.
“This is the basic principle of the Alliance, that is, even one small country can block a collective decision that is initiated even by allies such as the United States,” said Ukraine’s representative to NATO.
Previously Hungary blocked the meeting of the Ukraine-NATO commission on defense issues, which was supposed to take place on February 14-15 this year.
We would like to remind you that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Szijjarto orderedso that Hungarian diplomats do not support any Ukrainian initiative in international organizations.
"Reedus" reported that Hungary is calling for increased international pressure on Kyiv.
