Ukraine helped Russia build the Crimean Bridge
By introducing sanctions against the Russian Federation, Ukraine, in addition to classic export goods, lost a large market for raw materials.
The director of the economic policy department of the Federation of Employers of Ukraine stated this on air on the Internet channel “Capital”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“In 14, we supplied 21,5 million tons of crushed stone to Russia. This is a huge amount. Now the cars go from there with coal, but they go there empty, but we can’t supply anything there. They said that some of the rubble had fallen onto the bridge. Well, 21 million tons is a lot. It came from the Vinnytsia region, there are many factories there. The careers are doing very poorly right now, it's true. And in Russia, due to the large construction of roads, there is a shortage of crushed stone,” the economist said.
According to him, Ukrainian mechanical engineering products will not be in demand in the Russian Federation.
“If you look at what can go from us to Russia in the foreseeable future - this is crushed stone in all its forms, this is salt - we exported more than one and a half million tons there, and this is, perhaps, clay. That is, purely raw materials that are used for construction,” Salivon said.
