Ukraine is among the twenty countries with the highest level of terrorism

A report on the state of global terrorism in 2017 (The Global Terrorism Index 2017) was published on November 15 by the London Institute of Economics and Peace, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
As noted, in terms of the level of influence of terrorism, Ukraine received 6,6 points on a 10-point scale. A year earlier, our country occupied 11th position in this ranking with 7,1 points.
This year, Ukraine entered the group of countries with a high level of influence of terrorism, along with such states as Somalia, India, Turkey, Libya, Egypt, Sudan and others.
Experts included six countries in the list of countries with the highest level of influence of terrorism on life: Iraq (10 points), Afghanistan (9,4), Nigeria (9), Syria (8,6), Pakistan (8,4), Yemen (7,9 ,XNUMX).
In Western European countries, the highest influence of terrorism, according to experts, is in France (6 points and 23rd place).
The United States of America ranks 32nd (5,4 points), Russia - 33rd (5,3 points), Great Britain - 35th (5,1 points).
“Ukraine is one of ten countries that have seen a fairly significant improvement,” said Daniel Hyslop, a spokesman for the Institute for Economics and Peace.
True, the organizers of the study classified the DPR as “terrorist organizations,” and included Ukrainian security forces in the Donbass as “victims of terrorism.”
