Ukraine is among the top five countries with the worst roads - only Mauritania and Congo are worse
In the latest competitiveness ranking compiled annually by the World Economic Forum (WEF), Ukraine took 134th place out of 138 possible in terms of the quality of roads.

The worst quality of roads was found only in Mauritania, Paraguay, Congo and Madagascar.
At the same time, Ukraine took 34th place in terms of the quality of railways, and 103rd place in terms of air transport.
As a result, in general, Ukraine settled in 75th place in the ranking for transport.
Let us remind you that in general, in the competitiveness ranking, Ukraine dropped to 85th place compared to 79th a year earlier, which was the worst result in five years.
Ukraine ranked low in indicators such as the development of financial markets (130th place), institutional development (129th place), macroeconomic situation (128th place) and efficiency of the goods market (108th place), level of business development (98th place).
At the same time, WEF indicates such competitive advantages of the country as the presence of engineers and scientists (33rd place), the volume of the domestic market (47th place in the ranking), and innovation (52nd place).
