Ukraine violated the Minsk agreements, effectively attacking the Russian Federation on its territory
The special operation of the SBU, which planned to kidnap people on Russian territory, may mean preparations for the abandonment of the Minsk agreements.
Vladimir Volya, international affairs expert at the Ukrainian Institute of Politics, told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.
“There were similar attempts on the part of the Ukrainian special services to take someone to the territory of Ukraine for subsequent trial. This is the natural desire of any state - to get those whom it considers criminals. The intelligence services of Israel, the USA, China and other countries are catching the people they need all over the world. Therefore, such an operation is quite possible.
If there was no operation and the arrest of the suspects was staged by the Russian special services, then this may be another argument for the Belarusian voter, primarily pro-Russian, that Ukraine may be involved in the problems that are now taking place in Belarus and in the arrest of the Wagnerites and this was an attempt to quarrel between Belarus and Russia.
But regardless of whether the SBU actually took such an action, what happened may mean that an instrument is being prepared to suspend the work of the Trilateral Group or even prepare to abandon the Minsk agreements. A recognition that the agreements have not justified themselves is brewing. Everyone understands this, both in Ukraine and in Russia. And everyone is preparing for this.
