Ukraine went against Trump's will on the status of Jerusalem
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry insists on the need to implement the UN Security Council decision regarding the status of Jerusalem and full compliance with international law.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine announced this on January 8, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the department’s website.
“Ukraine stands for full compliance with international law and the need to implement the relevant decisions of the UN Security Council on the status of Jerusalem,” the Foreign Ministry notes.
The department also calls for resuming negotiations and preventing violence.
“We believe that the international community should concentrate all efforts, including within the UN Security Council, in order to prevent violence and encourage the parties to immediately resume the negotiation process on the Middle East peace settlement,” the statement said.
Recall that US President Donald Trump signed a decision recognizing indivisible Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said decisions on Jerusalem must be taken as part of final status agreements between the two sides.
It is interesting that Ukraine’s position on this issue is identical to that of Russia and the EU countries.
