Every day Ukraine moves away from Europe. At the Riga summit, Kyiv will not receive a visa-free regime with the EU. This is a failure of Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk’s policy, Vasyl Filipchuk, who headed the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry during the time of Viktor Yushchenko, said on Hromadske TV.

According to him, at the time of the victory of Euromaidan, the standards necessary for a visa-free regime were fulfilled by 90%. After that everything came to naught.

“We may gradually lose any respect or trust as a partner because we talk a lot and don’t get to the point. The fact that today we are stating that at the Riga summit we will not be granted a visa-free regime is a disaster, a failure of Yatsenyuk. Today, every day we are not getting closer, but moving away from the visa-free regime,” Filipchuk assures.
