Ukraine set a record for palm oil imports
Ukraine in January–June 2017 imported 91,6 thousand tons of palm oil, while exports of corresponding products during this period amounted to 7 thousand tons.

This was reported by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, in May of this year, 13,3 thousand tons of palm oil were imported from Indonesia, 1 thousand tons from Malaysia, 171 tons from Sweden, and 31 tons from other countries.
In general, palm oil accounts for 90% of vegetable oils imported to Ukraine.
Ukraine has been increasing its imports of palm oil for the second year in a row. Experts note that this is due to manufacturers’ attempts to reduce the cost of products.
