“We survive as best we can. Some cook on an electric stove, some on a slow cooker, because of this, problems with electrical networks constantly arise. As it turned out, no one needs us, displaced people, and they call us nothing, we are not registered here in the hostel, and Gorgaz refuses to conclude an agreement with us on connecting to gas. We’ve already been to the Housing Office, and they also refuse to take responsibility,” displaced person Vera Yaryzhko said in an interview with the LOT TV channel about her problem.
According to her, due to the fact that displaced people use electric stoves, they receive huge payments for electricity - people fear that they will soon have to cook food on the street on a fire - as in 2014 during the bombing.
