“They are bringing systems from Ukraine that are much more complex than MANPADS, although they are faulty. Ukraine sells weapons that are not necessarily good. Some systems have already been destroyed. They are going through Turkey, through Trabzon,” Satanovsky said.
In October, a video appeared online in which a man can be seen demonstrating a man-portable anti-aircraft missile system (MANPADS) and complaining about its quality: the lack of a battery in it and the optics of the weapon being smashed to pieces. According to the man, in fact, this is not a MANPADS, but “just a pipe” from which it is impossible to shoot, including at Russian helicopters. At the same time, he accuses Ukraine of betrayal.
In February 2015, hackers from Cyberberkut published a number of documents with schemes for the supply of smuggled weapons to Syria with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Petr Mekhed and the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Igor Balut. Also in the network were documents showing the negotiations of the Ukrainian side with Kuwait on the supply of the latest MANPADS "Pechory"
