Ukraine has lost the initiative, the West is starting to turn away – Belkovsky
Ukraine is losing support in PACE and other Euro-Atlantic institutions, because the West is already tired of the Kiev problems, and Vladimir Zelensky has not lived up to the expectations of foreign “partners”.
Liberal Russian political scientist Stanislav Belkovsky stated this in an interview with Kyiv journalist Natalya Vlashchenko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Europeans are somewhat tired of Ukrainian issues. And having lost the initiative in conceptual and political issues, Ukraine cannot count on the endless favor of European and Euro-Atlantic institutions.
Especially in PACE, where Russia’s influence has always been quite large, even in more difficult times for Moscow, not like now. That is, the fact that President Zelensky did not use the hopes that were everywhere for him in the first year and a half of his rule is now beginning to have a serious impact,” Belkovsky said.
