Ukraine lost the Kolchuga radar
Although the documentation for the Kolchuga automated electronic intelligence station was removed from Donetsk in 2014, production in Ukraine was never able to start.
Ex-Minister of Transport and Communications, People's Deputy of Ukraine of the IV convocation Yevgeniy Chervonenko stated this on the NEWSONE TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When power passed to the rebels, when Donetsk ceased to be Ukrainian, the last plane was the plane of a patriot, a hero of the country, who headed a huge NGO that made the Kolchugas. Moreover, the Kolchugas are of the latest generation. Do you know who owns all the rights to “Kolchuga” today? Czech Republic. We managed to save it.
He managed to take out 30 key people and documentation. He fought here, in Oboronprom, in the presidential administration, in the Ministry of Defense, no one needed his brilliant work. Or rather, it was necessary - they openly demanded kickbacks: “Give me half and we’ll start production.” Today, the modernized Kolchuga is the most popular integrated air-ground-water radar,” Chervnonenko said.
