Ukraine has spent tens of millions on prison renovations

During January-August 2018, 27,3 million UAH were allocated for the construction and repair of institutions and engineering infrastructure of Ukrainian prisons, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Denis Chernyshov, the department’s press service reports.
“During 8 months of this year, UAH 27,3 million were raised to improve the level of operational safety of buildings, structures and engineering infrastructure facilities of the State Criminal Executive Service of Ukraine,” he said.
He clarified that 3 facilities were reconstructed, 6 facilities were overhauled and 1032 structures were repaired.
