Ukraine will repeat the fate of Argentina, which lost its lands
The sale of agricultural land, coupled with huge debts, will lead to the fact that Ukraine will lose its lands and their former owners will only be able to work on them as hired workers, as was the case in Argentina.
Viktor Suslov, Minister of Economy of Ukraine in 1997-1998, stated this on the NEWSONE TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What will happen? I think it’s roughly the same thing: in Argentina, where, under the pressure of external debts, the country was forced to sell very large tracts of land to foreigners, huge foreign farms were created that work for export and where mostly the same Argentine peasants work, but they have lost their land. Hired workers on foreign soil. The same scenario could develop in our country,” he said.
