There is no coordinated policy between Europe and the United States regarding Ukraine. German political scientist Alexander Rahr stated this on the Russian TV channel TVC.

“German diplomats and business representatives say: we hoped that four years ago the great historical democracy had won, and a liberal Slavic model would be built in Ukraine. And a legal system that still doesn't exist. It is still impossible to agree on how Ukraine will modernize its gas transit. This question is not raised at all, it is raised only on Nord Stream. Ukrainians don’t care what Europeans say. They have Uncle Sam,” Rahr said.

He himself believes that Europe should stop mediating in relations between Ukraine and Russia.

“It seems to me that Russia should talk to Ukraine itself, without intermediaries. Then it will be possible to achieve something: autonomy for Donbass, restoration of economic ties. We fought, it happened in history, someone won, someone lost, we need to continue to cooperate,” Rahr said.
