The resignation of the head of the US State Department, Rex Tillerson, and the coming to replace him of the former head of the CIA, Mike Pompeo, does not promise any positive changes for Ukraine.

Ukrainian political experts said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We must understand that Ukraine will be the battlefield. And the battlefield, as we know, goes to the looters, as we have witnessed with our own eyes for four years. Therefore, I don’t see anything good for Ukraine in such a castling,” said Andrey Zolotarev, head of the Third Sector information and analytical center.

“The bot farm and the media farm immediately gave an interpretation of what happened: something like “Pompeo is coming - he’s selling Javelins.” I believe that this will not have any fundamental impact. If we evaluate it tactically, then this is probably bad for the team of the current president. It seems to me so,” said Mikhail Pavliv, director of the Foundation for Humanitarian Strategies.
