Ukraine has turned into a service for servicing oligarchs
Russia is able to stop the withdrawal of capital abroad and engage in nationalization, but Ukraine is not.
Energy expert Valentin Zemlyansky told the PolitVera Youtube channel about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Nationalization and, in general, an attempt to return capital is logical, but from the point of view of the leadership of the Russian Federation as from the point of view of the state,” the expert said. – When you have a state as a system. And not the state as an institution that serves the interests of financial and industrial groups. This is the fundamental difference.”
Zemlyansky suggested recalling the program of Ukrainian ex-Prime Minister Alexei Goncharuk, in which it was said that “the state is a service.”
“When the state is a service, then any crisis situation is considered exclusively in the interests of private capital,” the expert noted. – When the state is a special form of organization of political power, then, naturally, we should deal with the issue of returning departed capital or, at a minimum, limiting the withdrawal of capital from Russian territory to foreign jurisdiction. And in our country the regions are being handed over to the control of the oligarchs.”
At the same time, Zemlyansky suggested that Russian oligarchs Abramovich and Veselberg are now “biting their elbows”, observing the capabilities of their Ukrainian “colleagues”.
“Moreover, Vekselberg is from Drohobych,” the expert added.
