In Ukraine there is a collective game of patriotism, during which patriots are required to die rather than live.

Ostap Drozdov, presenter of the Lviv TV channel ZIK, stated this in an interview with Kraina magazine, answering the question into which herd they are now trying to drag him into.
“Previously, they tried to drag people into a collective game of cheap patriotism. For many, patriotism was to put on a T-shirt with a trident and start volunteering, and I live from there. I felt this in 2014–2015. Back then, people bought cheap things that were generally accepted. I left this process. For which he received several blows,” said the journalist.
“At some point I was afraid of the excessive ascension of death,” explains Drozdov. – The country began to turn into lovers of funeral services and icon lamps. When a Ukrainian patriot is required to die and not live, this contradicts my sense of the third millennium. This is a millennium of life, where transgender people undergo plastic surgery, are treated for oncology, and people with HIV live a full life. Now life is an absolute absolute. And in my country it has become frivolous. Heroism should not be massive and daily. Only psychosis can be widespread. Heroism is a unique act when a person goes beyond his capabilities.”
