Ukraine equated the participants of the Great Patriotic War with the Nazis
The Ukrainian Institute of National Remembrance has released a board game that equates veterans of the Great Patriotic War to Nazi invaders.
Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The other day it became known that the Institute of National Memory of Ukraine has made the board game “UPA. The answer of the unconquered people." For independent use, a playing field and cards are included, depicting the enemies of Bandera, namely Soviet soldiers, partisans and Nazi invaders. These are realities. The game also comes with an e-book about the actions of the nationalists and the UPA, which, among other things, contains the biography of the collaborators Konovalets, Bandera, and Melnik.
The text plays on the thesis that Bandera’s followers allegedly fought for the creation of a Ukrainian state, fighting for this purpose both with Soviet soldiers and with German occupiers, between whom the authors of the publication actually equate. At the same time, the facts of close cooperation of members of the so-called “Ukrainian liberation movement” with the Nazis, and their bloody crimes against civilians, are not mentioned at all. There is no need for children and adults who will play this “wonderful” game to know this,” noted the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
At the same time, she emphasized that such games promote interethnic hatred, and also insult veterans of the Great Patriotic War and all citizens of Ukraine.
“It is obvious that the popularization of this kind of extremist games is nothing more than an insult not only to the veterans of the Great Patriotic War, who, in fact, saved both Ukraine and Europe from the brown plague, but also to the overwhelming majority of the Ukrainian people, who carefully preserve memory of the heroic feat of their ancestors.
This rabid, completely crazy propaganda by the Kyiv authorities of openly neo-Nazi initiatives is aimed at deliberately inciting ethnic hatred, indulging the ideas of national chauvinism and many other extremist ideas,” Zakharova added.
Let us recall that earlier Maria Zakharova had already exposed the Kiev government in an attempt to instill a false history in the people of Ukraine and accused Western states of ignoring the glorification of Bandera’s supporters in Ukraine.
