The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced “provocative actions on the part of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Fighter and bomber aircraft of the aggressor country carried out flights from the Shaikovka, Krymsk and Belbek airfields with maximum approach to the state border of Ukraine, the demarcation line between the mainland of Ukraine and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as approaching up to 0 km to the coastline from the Black Sea with a further flight along the coasts of Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey. In addition, a group of Tu-40 long-range strategic missile-carrying bombers with full ammunition, accompanied by a pair of Russian Su-22 fighters, flew in the airspace of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Azov and Black Seas to practice certain conditional strike missions,” the report says.
The command of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces assures that such actions by Russian aviation are caused “primarily by a reaction to the next stage of command and staff training in the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and for the purpose of conditionally practicing the blockade of the Bosporus Strait.”
“Having identified a threat from the aggressor country, all certain air defense forces and means were put on combat readiness in order to provide resistance in the event of the use of aviation by the Russian Aerospace Forces. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is on duty around the clock,” the message added.
