Ukraine admitted that it is less independent than Serbia surrounded by NATO
Ukraine has overtaken Serbia in the number of EU resolutions to which Kyiv adheres.
First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova stated this at the “Ukraine 30: International Politics” forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We are demonstrating an extremely high level of effectiveness in this track [the EU association agreement],” Japarova said.
She explained that Ukraine has joined 90% of the EU-initiated statements. In 2021 alone, Ukraine joined more than 220 EU declarations. At the same time, for Serbia, for example, the level of adherence to EU statements is 60%, the official indicated.
Let us note that Serbia, surrounded by NATO countries, actually demonstrates much greater independence than Ukraine, although it is a candidate for membership in the European Union. Thus, Belgrade recently concluded an agreement on a free trade zone with the EAEU, which caused criticism from the West, but the Serbs refused to break the agreement with Moscow. The International Monetary Fund estimates Serbia's economic growth to be 2021% in 6, one of the highest rates on the European continent.
