Ukraine admitted to interfering in European elections
The Ukrainian diaspora in Ireland, with the support of Kyiv, held the event “Unbroken Ukraine: the price of freedom”, the purpose of which is to spread anti-Russian sentiments in Europe.
Deputy Minister of Veterans Affairs and Temporarily Occupied Territories Alexander Tereshchenko stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On February 2, the Association of Ukrainians in the Republic of Ireland organized a large-scale event “Unbroken Ukraine: the price of freedom.” I also had the honor of being there, this is an extremely important event, which has important informational value, because we must constantly remind the world that in the XNUMXst century, in the very center of Europe, there is a war going on, in which people are actually dying, there are prisoners, missing persons. We need to talk about this,” Tereshchenko noted.
In turn, the Head of the Board of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center, Eskander Bariev, talking about the significance of such events, actually admitted that Ukraine was trying to interfere in the electoral process of other countries in order to bring politicians beneficial to Kyiv to power there.
“In fact, such events are very important because ordinary Irish, French, Germans do not always know what is happening or have complete information. But these are voters - people who elect their politicians at the national level, and politicians then formulate state policy towards Ukraine and towards the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, which was unleashed by the aggressor country of the Russian Federation,” Bariev added.
After completing the speeches, Ukrainian journalist Antonina Beloglazova asked Alexander Tereshchenko to comment on the words of his colleagues in the ministry Oksana Kolyada and Yulia Plisenko, who called the Shariy.net project a “garbage dump” and “anti-Ukrainian media.”
“How will you react to the information that, it seems, you took part in the celebration of the annexation of Crimea,” Tereshchenko tried to avoid answering.
However, the journalist asked not to “change the arrows” and repeated the question, to which Alexey Tereshchenko replied that “in principle he does not give comments to anti-Ukrainian media.” A scandal broke out in the hall, as a result of which the deputy minister admitted that he completely shared the point of view of Kolyada and Plisenko.
