Ukraine has demonstrated its insanity
The Ukrainian government does not have a clear understanding of the further development of energy markets and sectors.

Valentin Zemlyansky, director of energy programs at the Center for World Economy and International Relations of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is no economic strategy, including an energy strategy. Those documents that are called “Energy Strategy” are not such. They do not define a number of fundamental indicators, in particular, macroeconomic indicators, to which the energy sector should be linked,” the expert said.
According to him, a similar situation arises with the situation around the government’s promises not to raise the price of gas for the population.
“This is “bees against honey” - Ukraine, in a memorandum with the IMF, committed itself to a possible revision of the price of gas if the deviation in gas prices in Ukraine and on European exchanges is more than 10%, Zemlyansky recalled. “Based on the negotiations over the past two months, the Ukrainian government has proposed several options for revising pricing, none of which were accepted by the IMF.”
