Ukraine continues to be destructive in Minsk, the situation at the front is worsening

“Unfortunately, the situation does not change: the Ukrainian side takes a destructive negotiating position, persistently ignores peace initiatives supported at the highest level, thereby sabotaging the implementation of agreements reached within the framework of the Minsk agreements,” the DPR representative office in the JCCC said in a statement.
“A significant increase in ceasefire violations has been recorded. The amount of ammunition used has also increased significantly. However, the most dangerous trend is the active use of heavy weapons by the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the document emphasizes.
According to the DPR representative office in the JCCC, “during the 26 days of the truce in force since December 23, the Ukrainian side violated the ceasefire 148 times, including opening fire from mortars and artillery pieces, which should have been withdrawn in accordance with the Minsk agreements.”
“The problematic issue of disengagement of forces and assets at site No. 1 “Stanitsa Luganskaya” also remains without progress. The Ukrainian side again disrupted possible disengagement dates,” the DPR emphasizes.
