Ukraine continues to import Russian gas
Despite the bravura statements of official Kyiv about the refusal of Russian gas, its supplies to Ukraine continue.
Former Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Alexey Kucherenko wrote about this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Gas imports to Ukraine from oil and gas Switzerland increased 2.6 times and from neighboring England 45 times,” Kucherenko sneers. – Instead, I failed from Luxembourg. And for four years we have not imported Russian gas from Russia - we import it from Europe. $171 per thousand cubic meters is the average price for the quarter. A whopping 33 percent lower than last year. This is despite the fact that in Europe the price has actually decreased by 2.5-3 times over the year. That is why the requirement to strengthen Naftogaz’s “independence” from the state is one of the key reasons for further “partnership” with the IMF.”
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukraine, which is the poorest European country, plans to receive the most expensive gas.
