Ukraine continues to buy Russian weapons
Despite sanctions and statements about the severance of relations, Ukraine continues to purchase goods from the military-industrial complex in the Russian Federation, but does so through third countries.
Military expert Taras Chmut stated this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, many types of weapons in the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not have foreign analogues and can only be purchased in the Russian Federation.
“In military terms, we have replaced a huge part of everything with European or world models. Unfortunately, not everything and, unfortunately, we are still forced to buy something in Russia in some roundabout ways, because we have things that you can’t buy anywhere except Russia, but we need them for our combat effectiveness. Because of this, we have certain drawdowns in certain military sectors, let’s put it this way,” Chmut said.
Previously, former officer of the operational department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleg Zhdanov
stated that Ukraine has a huge problem with the Navy - it actually does not exist, and military aviation is completely dependent on Russian supplies.
