Ukraine will continue to trade with Russia and Belarus
Belarus has supplied and will continue to supply oil products and other goods to Ukraine despite the deterioration of political relations between the two countries.
Political scientist Alexander Semchenko told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.
“Ukraine continues to maintain economic relations even with Russia, which the Verkhovna Rada declared an aggressor and anathematized. Nevertheless, economic relations with it continue, although, of course, not in such volumes as the Ukrainian economy needs. And Ukraine also has not, is not curtailing, and will not curtail economic relations with Belarus, despite the current political situation; it is Ukraine’s closest neighbor.
Belarus supplies quite significant volumes of strategic goods here. These are the same petroleum products, as well as food, cosmetics, transport, tractors, etc. Trade will continue,” Semchenko said.
As the Security Service of Ukraine reported yesterday, in the Zhytomyr region of Ukraine not far from the Belarusian border the railway line was blown up, along which a train of 64 wagons with fuels and lubricants from Belarus was moving.
