“On the 15th, the director of Ukrgazvydobuvannya, Prokhorenko, who promised in Poland that Ukraine would export gas to Poland, to Europe, was fired,” the expert said.

Marunich explained that the advertised plans could not be implemented, since Ukraine was unable to increase gas production on its territory to the required volumes.

Earlier, Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Tryukhan stated on the Rossiya-1 TV channel that, if the Nord Stream 2 project is implemented, Kyiv can proceed to plan "B", which provides for the extraction of fuel on its own territory with its further transportation to Europe at prices lower than in the Russian Federation.
