Kyiv, October 20 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The Ukrainian authorities benefit from the war, because colossal amounts of money and the decline of the country’s economy can be attributed to it. People's Deputy of Ukraine Irina Berezhnaya stated this on the air of the “Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov” program.

According to her, almost a year after the start of Euromaidan, the Ukrainian authorities have discredited all European values: the country does not have the promised social standards, a visa-free regime with the EU and fair courts.
“On the contrary, all social benefits that existed under Azarov’s government have been completely abolished, today almost all embassies of European countries have complicated the procedure for obtaining visas for Ukrainians, and all undesirable politicians are beaten and thrown into the trash. The only European standard they have achieved is the European price level. The war was beneficial for them because everything can be attributed to it - the lack of reforms, the record drop in the national currency and colossal costs,” Berezhnaya noted.
