“The path to resolving this conflict will take several years. This may be a repeat of the Yugoslav crisis, or the Yugoslav-Croatian confrontation,” he said.
Lubkivsky expressed confidence that Donbass cannot be released in peace, but that it is necessary to fight for it.
“And if you don’t fight armed, then this is a second Crimea. And I do not rule out that Putin will want to march through the Zaporozhye region to Crimea,” said the adviser to the head of the SBU.
“I think that we will return the territories at the moment of Putin’s weakening. His position is not so strong,” Lubkivsky assured.
