Ukraine is trying to get to the Federal Air Transport Agency through Interpol
In Ukraine, criminal proceedings have been initiated against officials of the Federal Air Transport Agency and the Volga-Dnepr group.
This is stated in a press release from the Kyiv law firm Ilyashev and Partners, which represents the interests of the Ukrainian aircraft plant Antonov.
It is noted that on July 17, the National Police of Ukraine “entered information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations about the commission of a criminal offense under Part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, on the fact of abuse of official position and forgery of documents during the extension of the airworthiness of An-124-100 "Ruslan" aircraft by officials of the Federal Air Transport Agency of the Russian Federation (Rosaviation) and the German company AMTES GmbH, part of the Volga Dnepr group of companies (Russia)".
Ukrainian law enforcement agencies are investigating the fact that Rosaviation certified AMTES GmbH as a developer of a modification of the An-124-100 aircraft and issued, on the basis of allegedly forged documents, a certificate for changing the standard design “Support for airworthiness in terms of confirming the service life and service life.”
“The Antonov State Enterprise is responsible for maintaining the structural integrity of the standard design of the entire existing fleet of AN aircraft throughout their entire service life,” said Roman Marchenko, senior partner of the law firm. – The state-owned enterprise is confident that no company in the world, except Antonov, has adequate experience in maintaining the airworthiness of an aircraft of this class under conditions of intensive operation for a long time.
We hope that all those involved in extending the resources of “Ruslan”, bypassing “Antonov”, will be brought to criminal responsibility in the near future and put on the wanted list by Interpol.”
