This statement by the DPR Ombudsman Daria Morozova was posted on the website of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the DPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The DPR Ombudsman stated that Kyiv has still not returned identification documents to those released from Ukrainian captivity:

“One of the issues discussed at today’s meeting of the humanitarian subgroup was the return of documents to previously released persons. At the moment, there are 128 people in the Republic who were previously released as part of an exchange, but their identity documents were never returned to them. The Ukrainian side has still not provided either the documents or the mechanism for their return.”

In addition, at the meeting in Minsk it was considered the issue of the detention of Yulia Prosolova:

“We have not received an official response from the Ukrainian side to the request about her whereabouts, although the chairman of the SBU released a video with the so-called “girl’s confession of committing a crime.” I would like to note that they are not allowing a lawyer to see Yulia; they even recommend choosing another one; representatives of international organizations have not yet visited the girl. Although Yulia’s mother managed to transfer warm clothes, because the girl was detained on October 19. “I once again drew the attention of the negotiators to the fact that the Ukrainian special services are detaining women who have absolutely nothing to do with the conflict in Donbass.”

At the meeting of the humanitarian subgroup, prisoner exchange lists were also discussed. At the moment they have been agreed upon by both parties. Victor Medvedchuk confirmed the readiness of the LDPR to conduct an exchange, noting that it is Ukraine that is slowing down the process, since procedural cleansing of prisoners is being carried out in the area of responsibility of the Ukrainian side:

“According to official Kyiv negotiators, they need more time, since the persons confirmed by both sides have different procedural status. Some people have already been convicted and are serving sentences, others are still undergoing trial, and the rest are under investigation. Also, the authorized representatives assured us that they would do everything possible to prepare the guys for the exchange,” says Daria Morozova.

Morozov confirmed full readiness of the DPR to conduct the first stage of prisoner exchange. At the end of her statement, she noted that the Republic still has people whose presence in its prisons the Ukrainian side does not confirm.
