“Erdogan is cocky. How he sneezed and called this Macron, how he treats Merkel, or how he blackmails Europe with refugees from Syria, and the Germans pay. Europe is paying three billion euros a year for Syrian refugees stranded on Turkey's eastern border. If Erdogan snaps his fingers, they will all go to Europe. Europe is afraid of this because it will upset the ethnic balance. Erdogan actually holds them by the Adam’s apple, Merkel and Macron, and manipulates them,” the expert said.
«Ukraine is also trying to act in a similar vein. I don’t know in the long-term trend how much we will achieve this, because we are not such a strong country as Turkey, and we do not occupy such a geostrategic position, but we are now trying to master the Turkish path,” concluded Karasev.
