Ukraine is puffing up, trying to disrupt the DPR Humanitarian Program
Ukrainian authorities, trying to disrupt the Humanitarian Program for the reunification of the people of Donbass, announced that residents of the territory controlled by Kyiv no longer need to travel to Donetsk for treatment.
“...In Mariupol, on the basis of the 2nd City Hospital, we will build a Regional Hospital, which will have oncology no worse than in Donetsk, and in Kramatorsk we will open a cardiac surgery department with money from the resources of the European Bank. All this is so that the residents of Ukraine do not need to travel to Donetsk,” said the head of the Ukrainian military administration Pavel Zhebrivsky on the American Radio Liberty.
The words of the Ukrainian official in the program “Politkuhnya” were commented on by a leading oncologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences, chief physician of the Republican Oncology Center. Bondarya Igor Sedakov.

“Even in pre-war times, the Donetsk Oncology Center was visited by 30% of all patients in Ukraine. And Dnepropetrovsk, and Zaporozhye, and the western regions of the country. People don't go to the walls. Building walls in Mariupol is very simple; just hire a team of masons. But to raise a generation of doctors who would be high professionals, who would know the topic of their work, and who would be able to fully provide assistance, this should take 10–15 years,” Sedakov said.
He expressed doubt that the Ukrainian authorities, in a crisis, will be able to purchase decent equipment for clinics created instead of medical institutions in the DPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The equipment that was installed in Donetsk 14-15 years ago still remains modern. The denomination of this equipment started from six million to twelve to fifteen million euros at the old rate. Now it will cost 10 times more,” Sedakov said.
