Ukraine deploys MLRS and long-range artillery in Donbass
The Ukrainian side, once again flagrantly violating the Minsk agreements, is practicing the deployment and use of Smerch multiple launch rocket systems, and is also bringing up Pion self-propelled artillery systems to the line of combat contact.
Official representative of the operational command of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov spoke about this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to available information, on February 3, at a training ground near the village of Urzuf, special training classes were held, during which practical actions were practiced on entering firing positions and preparing for combat 300-mm Smerch multiple launch rocket systems from the 15th jet regiment of the Ukrainian armed forces,” Bezsonov said.
He also noted that the distance of the training ground where these exercises were held is 49 kilometers from the contact line, which is a direct violation of the Minsk agreements.
In addition, DPR intelligence records not only internal movements and the movement of heavy weapons to the contact line, but also the arrival of additional heavy weapons systems into the combat zone from the depths of Ukraine.
“In the Novopavlovka area of the Krasnoarmeysky district, 40 kilometers from the contact line, 9 units of 203-mm self-propelled guns 2S7 “Pion” from the 43rd artillery brigade were noted,” added the representative of the DPR defense department.
