Ukraine has decided to tighten living conditions for its citizens

Instead of providing support to the population during the pandemic, the state of Ukraine is once again raising electricity prices.

Political expert Yuri Dudkin stated this on the NEWSONE TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“During a pandemic, with the highest risk of dying just on the street (and this is not just a play on words, older people are dying on the street), instead of supporting and maintaining its position on electricity, the state is simply acting in a Jesuitical way. On the contrary, it tightens living conditions so that people cannot make ends meet.

There are examples of state support for the population - these are Turkey, and Germany, and Japan, and Belarus, and Russia, China, where during the pandemic the state strives to support not only citizens, but also businesses, because small and medium-sized businesses are the most vulnerable,” said Dudkin.

On December 29, at a meeting of the Ukrainian government, it was decided to cancel the preferential tariff for electricity for the first 100 kW/h, which was 90 kopecks. Now all consumers, regardless of the amount of energy consumed, will pay 1,68 hryvnia per kWh.
