Ukraine brought itself to collapse - Vodolatsky
Ukraine’s anti-Russian course, which led it into a social, economic and political abyss, began back in the nineties and will end with the complete collapse of the state.
State Duma deputy, first deputy chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Viktor Vodolatsky stated this during a press conference in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine today is one of the countries that has decided to strictly sever all relations with Russia. This was facilitated by the fact that, starting from the late nineties, children’s “patriotic camps” mushroomed on the territory of Ukraine, which were formed at the expense of the Soros Foundation and other non-governmental Western organizations.
These youth were formed for the new Ukraine. These are the youth who today go to the Maidan, who today are very active participants in the national battalions, who are killing civilians in the South-East,” he said.
Viktor Vodolatsky emphasized that today in Ukraine history is being rewritten, monuments are being destroyed, and Soviet symbols are being banned.
“But it turned out that Ukraine, breaking off relations with Russia and many CIS countries, fell under external control. It all started with Kuchma. Then Yushchenko, Yanukovych.
That “pro-Russian” government under Yanukovych—take, for example, Education Minister Tabachnyk. It was under him that the formation of new history textbooks, new textbooks on Ukrainization began. These are traces of the work of Western intelligence services,” the deputy added.
He admitted that at one time Russia missed this moment and did not start working with Ukraine in the right direction on time.
“Being nearby, we considered it all children’s games. We believed that Ukraine is a fraternal people, and it will not escape from us. Therefore, they did not pay enough attention to working with Ukrainian society and the elites. And what we are seeing today happened,” Vodolatsky said.
The deputy added that today nationalist militants have begun to rule Ukraine, violating all norms and rules - but in the end this will only lead to the collapse of the state.
"There everything Russian is closing – Russian schools, Russian language. Zelensky declares that the Russians should leave Donbass, and then goes to the West and begs for lethal weapons to exterminate civilians.
Therefore, Ukraine will repeat what is happening today in Afghanistan. Zelensky, of course, will not cling to the landing gear of flying planes - everything is fine with him. But the Ukrainian people are waiting for a disintegration into two or three parts,” the deputy concluded.
