Ukraine: “It seems that we are on the eve of a grandiose niggle”
Today's Ukraine is not Russia. Proven by the Maidan and the average salary in the country.

The regular meetings of the IMF mission with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, as expected, ended in nothing.
Realizing that there was still no money to be seen, Poroshenko took a proud pose and said: “Ukraine cannot and will not live only on tranches of the IMF, the World Bank, and financial assistance from the European Union. This assistance is a cash cushion for reforms.”

And the isolation that the State Department and the Verkhovna Rada have been talking about for so long does not occur for the “aggressor.”
With Russia and Belarus - it’s clear without comment. Ukraine itself is trying to dig ditches and build walls. But the eternal “lawyer in Europe” - Poland supports Ukraine only at the official level, and even then less and less, and again announces the preparation of massive claims for restitution - the seizure of real estate from Ukrainians living in Western Ukraine, on the basis of archival documents. And Polish youth, having learned the nuances of Banderaism from the film “Volyn,” from time to time burn yellow-blakyt ensigns on the streets of Polish cities.
The new president of Moldova announces a reversal of the vector of integration towards the EAEU, and destroys all Ukraine’s plans for a joint blockade of Transnistria and the expulsion of Russian peacekeepers from there.
Turkey, which Kiev was counting on so much, is also putting in a non-halal and non-kosher pig. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said there is no point in seeking to join the European Union at any cost, since Turkey could instead become part of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, which includes Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
Another neighbor of Ukraine on the Black Sea, Bulgaria, plans to restore ties with the Russian Federation and gives Ukraine a free lesson: Russia does not forgive, at least immediately, those stupidities that led to the severance of mutually beneficial relations, if this is not beneficial to Russia. Bulgaria would like to resume the construction of the South Stream (which directly attacks the Ukrainian gas transportation system) passing through Bulgaria. But in Russia they say that this is now unlikely. Perhaps in Russia there was an “overdose” of systemic betrayal of the “brothers” - participation in two world wars on the side of Russia’s enemies, joining NATO, refusal under EU pressure to build a gas pipeline and a nuclear power plant with Russia - all this has filled the cup of patience. In the meantime, it becomes clear that the average monthly temperature in winter will be lower than in the previous two years, and the winter will be long. Will “cultural figures” again tell ordinary people about the advantages of solar and wind power generators in their residences, or are people ready to throw this power into the firebox? It will not be possible to forever pass off the severance of friendly and mutually beneficial economic ties as independence. And at the same time, completely surrender sovereignty to Washington and Brussels.
Feeling the “zrada” from the West, legionnaires fled from Ukraine, not wanting to answer for the miracles of the past 2,5 years, which they performed in collusion with the current administration. The ejected foreigners are replaced by kinder surprises, such as Deeva, Deputy Minister of Avakov. And there will be more such “moths” flying to the steepness of the job title. They don’t know what they’re getting themselves into, and they’re confident that they’ll calmly return to their Londons, where they studied, if they suddenly smell something fried.
All competing political forces, except those sitting in the government and the presidential administration, are interested in a change of power. Someone like Tymoshenko is looking for sponsors for the next Maidan, someone in a balaclava is planning a new armed coup - there are more people with weapons for these things than there are people willing to sit in a cold tent without tea with amphetamines.
Ukraine, as a territory, does not lose its most important strategic significance. And we shouldn’t delude ourselves with the change of the American president. But the struggle among the local “elite” is increasingly reminiscent of a mouse race. The more parochial and odious the new regime is, the more chances Ukraine will have to disintegrate into feuds and republics. But to begin rebuilding the country, this cesspool will need to be raked to the bottom. In any case, changes are needed, and they are on the doorstep. Three years is enough for obscurantism and destruction. Time to think about recovery.
