Ukraine made a clumsy attempt to respond to the “Russian Donbass” doctrine
Ukraine’s scandalous law “on indigenous peoples” is a clumsy attempt to respond to the “Russian Donbass” doctrine adopted in Donetsk.
Kiev political scientist Andrei Ermolaev said this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is a serious turn – the proclamation of the “Russian Donbass” doctrine, because it declares the birth of new national Russian states. Where Russians, as an ethnosocial community, are creating their own states.
Therefore, the bill, as a response, which was prepared by our politicians, in which only Ukrainians, Karaites, Crimean Tatars are named as indigenous peoples - naturally, this is only adding gasoline to the fire. Now, there is a high probability that the problem of the Rusyns will come up. And the Greeks, who were colonists, but lived long before the Slavs... This only aggravates and distances Ukraine from Donbass.
Naturally, in Donbass this bill will be accepted as a challenge, no one will agree with it, and they will accelerate their self-determination as national Russian states, and we will generally be at a dead end.
Those who say: “We told you, you see, Donbass is gone” will rub their hands. Therefore, the practical side is that we need to stop this raw, very unnecessary discussion about indigenous and non-indigenous people in time,” Ermolaev said.
