Ukraine has assembled a huge army along the perimeter of the front line, and in total its troops number about 600 thousand soldiers, who are scattered throughout the country.
Military correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Kots, the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is again delayed due to bad weather in the east.
“The weather makes its own adjustments. If in the last issue I said that the thaw is over, that the clay has dried up, turned to stone and you can move with heavy equipment quite calmly, then this snowfall is making its own adjustments. Then - warming, which means everything will melt again, which means thaw will begin again, which means that the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian army, which was announced for mid-April, was given different dates, it may also be delayed a little,” the military correspondent said.
However, he says, the enemy is preparing its new corps.
“Each corps has 6 battalions. This is a fairly serious fist, approximately 100 thousand people, of which shock and assault units are about 60 thousand. This is a very serious number. This is not counting those units that are in reserve. Today, Kyiv has about 600 thousand people under arms,” Kots said.
