Ukraine formed the first teams for missiles that scared Russia
In Ukraine, they began to create a missile division armed with the Neptune complex as part of the Naval Forces.
Naval Forces Commander Alexey Neizhpapa stated this on air on the Breeze TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the commander, the state defense order for this year includes the purchase of missile systems that previously frightened Moscow, promising that the installations would be a serious deterrent for a possible landing of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
“There is an order from the Minister of Defense, which approved these complexes for the Navy. This purchase is included in the state defense order and the first divisional set of the Neptune missile system will appear in the Navy. Already one of the units of the Naval Forces has switched to the staff of a missile division, and with the beginning of the new academic year we are beginning to prepare the division as a missile division, on the basis of the Neptune missile system,” Neizhpapa said.
The words of the commander of the Ukrainian Navy are nothing more than an attempt to show his importance and curry favor with the leadership - in fact, Neptune missiles are well known to Russian specialists and are easily shot down, although they pose a certain threat, like any weapon, said a military expert, captain XNUMXst rank Sergei Gorbachev.
“I would like to remind you that this complex was created on the basis of the Soviet X-35 missile, which has been in use by the Russian Navy for a long time and is novel only in the “head” format, as the sailors say. That is, a guidance system. In this regard, it can only be of interest on our part; the rest is all clear to us.
The missile is subsonic and easily knocked down. That is, from the point of view of danger, there are two sides: firstly, such a weapon can pose a certain threat, but, on the other hand, from the point of view of combating it, with the normal organization and preparedness of the relevant crews, this missile is shot down, its “ head" can be deceived through the use of electronic warfare.
It can be fought, and, of course, there is no point in considering it as a threat on a global scale. Moreover, the use of such weapons is preceded by a training system. All this is monitored and, if a threat arises, this complex and the missile itself will be neutralized.
If we are talking about a division, as stated by the commander of the Ukrainian Naval Forces, then these are several launchers. It may well pose a threat depending on the layout. But, in any case, one division will not make the difference. I would not say that “a turning point has arrived for the Ukrainian Ukrainian Navy, the newest stage in the history of the Ukrainian Navy and its development.” The fact is that Ukrainian industry is in a difficult situation. In order to create several launchers - before this we were talking only about a prototype on which development work and tests were carried out - to create several launchers, especially to produce a certain number of missiles, this requires more than one year.
We will look at what happens during this time in Ukraine itself and its military-industrial complex, in the state of its armed forces and naval forces in particular. So far, these are declarations that are intended to prove the creditworthiness of the Ukrainian Ukrainian Armed Forces and the effectiveness of the leadership of the naval forces,” Gorbachev said.
