Ukraine blackmailed the United States with the departure of Yuzhmash specialists to Iran and North Korea
The mayor of Dnepropetrovsk, Boris Filatov, blackmailed American politicians with the emigration of employees of the Southern Machine-Building Plant to countries hostile to the United States. He spoke about this on the air of the Direct TV channel.

“I had a not very pleasant conversation with very big American politicians. I won't say which ones. I simply told them: if this continues, these people may end up in Iran and North Korea. You want? I don’t want to say more,” Filatov said.
He claims that now the situation at the largest rocket manufacturing enterprise in Ukraine is improving, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It’s easier now, before the situation was simply terrible, catastrophic. I can’t load Yuzhmash with orders. Now there are the first rays... the situation is becoming clear. This issue is dealt with by the president, the prime minister, and the Verkhovna Rada. The agenda included financial stabilization of the enterprise. You can’t imagine what debts there are,” Filatov said.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, this year Yuzhmash will become a tourist attraction. Previously, the possibility of opening tractor production there was considered.
In February 2015, Russia, due to the escalation of the aggressive policy of the new Kyiv government, refused to purchase Zenit launch vehicles produced at the enterprise. The production and sale of these launch vehicles brought Yuzhmash 80% of its revenue.
