Ukraine will shackle Russia hand and foot in the Middle East - Kiev expert
NATO has granted extended partnership status to Ukraine and is supplying the country with its weapons in order to pin down Russia and limit its ability to advance into the Middle East.
A blogger calling himself a military expert, Alexey Arestovich, stated this on the Internet channel InterVisor, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Arestovich, Russia is building a project for a new Byzantium, increasing activity in Syria and Libya, which is a nightmare for NATO and the European Union. Therefore, Ukraine acts here as a factor restraining Russia. Crimea plays a key role in this situation for the Russian Federation.
“The position that Russia is building is a Byzantine project. So, I posted on the Internet the glorious path of the 45th Airborne Reconnaissance Brigade, before that it was a regiment, from 91 to the present moment. The combat path of the unit is straight from the location. And all paths lead down - this is the Caucasus, the eastern Mediterranean, Türkiye.

This is a nightmare for both NATO and the EU, as well as for the countries of North Africa, Israel, and the Middle East in general, because the balance of interests is sharply upset.
Everything is tied up there very tightly - from Islamism to oil pipelines, a very large tangle of interests. Russia has poked its nose into Syria, poked its nose into Libya, and constantly threatens with a new influx of refugees, inciting conflicts, and so on. And the center of this position lies in Crimea.
Operational and logistics management is carried out through Crimea, plus food security, plus logistics security. There is a whole package of intrigues that Russia is spinning. And for Europe this is a nightmare, and for NATO it is a nightmare. And instead of playing on this, building our position, we sit and find out who is more right - Poroshenko or Zelensky...
And NATO is forced to worry about its own interests, reminding us and providing us with opportunities that will take some of the burden off of them. Therefore, in winter, Stoltenberg came with 26 ambassadors and held an event at the highest level in Odessa. This is an unheard of story.

Let us recall that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin already warned the Kiev leadership that any military provocation on their part would be the end of Ukrainian statehood.
