Kyiv, September 13 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Negotiations with the Russian Federation to resolve the situation in eastern Ukraine should take place with the participation of Ukraine, the Russian Federation and representatives of the United States and the EU.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated this at the 11th meeting of the “Yalta European Strategy”.

“Bilateral agreements and negotiations with the Russian Federation are not the best idea. I am for the “Geneva format” with the participation of the EU, the USA and the Russian Federation. We are not strong enough to negotiate bilaterally. The Russians are simply outplaying us, that's what they want. Putin wants another frozen conflict to emerge,” Yatsenyuk noted.

At the same time, according to him, the negotiations in Minsk were the first step to resolve the conflict. He noted that the truce was necessary to regroup Ukrainian troops.
