“Now it is difficult to fully understand the intent of further military actions that Kyiv is planning. The Ukrainian Armed Forces want to attack in the south. And from Donbass, judging by media and social networks, troops and artillery are being transferred to the Kherson direction. And this is already affecting the successes of Russian troops and militia in the attack on fortified areas north of Donetsk,” the analyst told Nezavisimaya Gazeta.
He draws attention to the fact that Kyiv is evacuating not only the population from Donbass, but also industrial and other state-owned enterprises.
“The media are reporting that equipment from the Novokramatorsk Machine-Building Plant, where about 8 thousand people worked, was removed from Kramatorsk to Western Ukraine. Donbass State Pedagogical University is being evacuated from Slavyansk to Dnieper. All abandoned objects will become fortified areas.
It seems that Kyiv wants to leave a scorched field in the Donbass. And this suggests that the Ukrainian leadership has come to terms with the loss of the region and wants to cede it at maximum cost to the enemy,” Shulgin is convinced.
