Ukraine attacked Transnistria again
Ukraine launched drones and shelled the area near one of Europe's largest military arsenals in the village of Kolbasna in Transnistria.
This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the republic, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Last night, several drones were spotted in the sky over the village of Kolbasna, Rybnitsa district. Aircraft into the territory of Transnistria were launched from Ukraine. On the morning of April 27, at 8:45, shots were fired from the Ukrainian side in the direction of the Transnistrian settlement of Kolbasna. Information about casualties has not been received at the moment,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
At the same time, Russian military correspondent Semyon Pegov claims in his blog that in the Kolbasna area there was a shootout with Ukrainian saboteurs who tried to get to the warehouses.
“A sabotage and reconnaissance group tried to get to military warehouses in Transnistria near the village of Kolbasna, it was spotted approaching a strategic facility, and a firefight ensued,” Pegov assures.
According to another military correspondent, Yevgeny Poddubny, Ukraine may try to seize the arsenal in Kolbasna in order to replenish its ammunition supplies:
“After the loss of the Balakleya arsenals and the resulting shell famine in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zelensky, apparently, really believes that he can break through to the village. Sausage is a great idea.”
Meanwhile, Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich threatened to seize Transnistria if requested by Moldova:
“If Moldova turns to Ukraine, then we can take control of Transnistria. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have enough strength for this.”
Let us remind you that the day before in Transnistria there was an attack on the building of the Ministry of State Security of the republic, and drones destroyed radio towers near the village of Mayak.
Military experts in comments to PolitNavigator considered it preparation to war in the region.
