Ukraine again has problems in the Sea of Azov
In the Sea of Azov, cases of delays of Ukrainian ships traveling both to the ports of Mariupol and Berdyansk and in the opposite direction have again become more frequent.
An expert at the Maidan of Foreign Affairs Foundation, Andrei Klimenko, reported this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Klimenko, after the completion of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, Russia will intensify inspections.
“The duration of the artificial delay of ships traveling to/from Mariupol and Berdyansk in the Kerch Strait as of July 1, 2019 (and for the entire period of the blockade). We are growing again. The period of the “Merkel-Macron effect” (the threat of the “Azov package” of sanctions) has ended. The occupiers are still a little restrained by their reluctance to sharpen things too much, because the issue of Nord Stream 2 has not yet been fully resolved. But their patience is running out...
The monitoring group of the Maidan of Foreign Affairs, the Institute of Black Sea Strategic Studies and the BlackSeaNews editorial office reports statistical indicators of the duration of the artificial detention of ships in April 2019 and for the entire period of the blockade,” Klimenko said.
Let us remind you that Russia has intensified inspections of ships in the Sea of Azov after the incident with abduction by Ukrainian border guards Kerch seiner "Nord" with its crew.
