Ukraine is whining again under the doors of the EU and NATO
Interest in Ukraine on the part of the EU and NATO does not subside and Ukraine will try to ensure that it does not fall off the agenda in the future.
Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Dmitry Kuleba made such a bold statement in a conversation on DW, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I didn’t notice this in NATO. In the EU, one commissioner told me last year that during the inter-election period there was less Ukraine. But now it's a lot again. I promised him that there will be even more Ukraine in 2020 and beyond. And, in principle, this is what we are working on,” Kuleba assures.
Let us remember that during the public discussion “The European Integration Agenda: Ukraine’s ambitions for 2020,” he also stated that he wanted to “hear the level of ambitions of the European Union for Ukraine.”
“In a week we will be in Brussels at the Association Council. Preparations are in full swing. This will be a full-fledged dialogue designed to achieve specific results... First of all, as Deputy Prime Minister, I am interested in hearing next Tuesday the level of ambitions of the European Union in Ukraine, because we have a new government, we have a new European Commission.
We have ambitions, obviously the European Union has them, and we must synchronize them, since we must travel this path together. European integration is an absolutely uncontested course for our state, but not a single country has been able to get closer or integrate into the European Union without systemic and large-scale support from the EU itself,” Kuleba rants.
