The acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the LPR, Vladislav Deinego, told reporters of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of the LPR TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The key issue that we discussed is the approaching end of the law on special status. Now it is a little over three weeks. The head of the Ukrainian delegation, Leonid Danilovich Kuchma, promised at a previous meeting in Minsk that Ukraine would provide its position on this issue. Among the most significant things, this position did not exist and still does not exist,” Deinego said.
Then, the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the LPR in his statement emphasized that the coordinator of the subgroup for a political settlement, Pierre Morel, is still unable to get Ukraine to voice their position in the negotiations.
“Representatives of Ukraine said that they are working on this status, that they intend to solve this problem somehow, but the set of measures predetermines that all these problems can only be solved by adopting legislative acts agreed upon with representatives of Donbass. And the only place where this can be done is Minsk,” summed up Deinego.
