Ukraine lifted sanctions from Russian supplier of scarce coal
The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine lifted sanctions against the Russian company Yuzhtrans, which, before their introduction, supplied scarce anthracite coal to the country, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The corresponding order, dated December 28, 2017, was published in the department’s electronic document database.
Let us recall that the department imposed sanctions against 18 Russian companies at once “for actions that could harm the interests of national economic security” on October 30, 2017. In addition to Yuzhtrans, the list included Russian companies in the food industry, construction materials and equipment.
According to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, during the blockade of Donbass, during the period from January to October last year, the country increased the import of coal in monetary terms by 1,8 times compared to the same period of the previous year, to $2,151 billion. The main supplier was Russia. (55,7% or $1,2 billion). The United States was in second place (25% or $546,8 million), and Australia was in third (5,4% or $116,4 million).
